Hi Alex,

Choosing options can be really quite scary because its usually the first big decision you have to make about your future.

The career search list jobs by their family so in your case I would suggest that you speak to your teachers and your connexions advisor to help you further understand the individual subjects you are considering and the jobs linked with those subjects.

I feel like I need more information about hairdressing apprenticeships, i've attended taster days but nobody tells me what happens next! Plus i've not got the money to travel round all of County Durham to salons that can't guarantee me a place, I just feel like i've been forgotten about.

Hello Laura,

I think that you might need a bit of advice to help you along: Contact you nearest Connexions Centre and book an appointment to see an Employment and Training Adviser. They will be able to talk to you about the options available to you and what an apprenticeship involves.
