► Depression - Sometimes Depression can appear out of the blue. It is when a person feels very sad or down and they just can’t seem to shake it off. Some of the symptoms of depression are:
·  Constant low, sad or irritable moods
·  A loss of interest in things
·  Suicidal thoughts
·  Low confidence and self esteem
·  Not wanting to see family or friends
·  May self harm

You can easily get help if you feel Depressed by talking to someone, this could e a friend, a family member  a teacher or a Connexions Adviser, Below is also a lost of organisations that can help:

► Stress - Some people cope with stressful situations easily but others find that everything can get too much. Some of the things which cause stress are:
Exams, Worrying about relatives, Unhappiness at home, too many expectations from parents and teachers or too much work at school or college.
Some of the symptoms of stress are:
·  Eating too much or too little
·  Having mood swings
·  Snapping at people
·  Feeling tired
·  Becoming tearful.

► Self harming - Self harm is when someone harms themselves in some kind of way such as cutting, burning or biting themselves. They do this because they are distressed or worried about certain things such as bullying or abuse. They find self harming a way to cope with their issues.
