► Can you claim benefit?      

If you have a low income and are over the age of 16 you might be entitled to Housing Benefit. The calculation on whether you are entitled to housing benefits depends on a number of things such as:

Who you rent your home from
Who you live with
The size of your home
How much rent you pay
How much you can afford to pay
Your income

There are a number of steps you will have to go through to claim housing benefit and sometimes this can get confusing, feel free to pop into our Connexions offices for help on filling in your forms or advice on what to do next.
