E-Achieve are about to open a new recruitment and training centre in central Durham City offering opportunities in Information Technology.
They are looking for a maximum of 45; 16 and 17 years olds with a driving passion to achieve a career in I.T. The highest achievers will be looking towards employment with IBM, or one of several local companies with high profile ICT career paths.
Entry requirements:
Preferably to have achieved GCSE grades C or above in maths and English. If you have other qualifications and/or experience in ICT or an AS level, so much the better. The important thing is to have a real interest in Computers and be eager to succeed.
This opportunity is likely to start in December or January.
You will be able to work through a level 1 NVQ in ITQ. This may be easy for you, but it will be your chance to impress and also gain useful job search advice and skills.
After this if you've proved yourself capable you will be taken forward to NVQ levels 2 and 3, leading to well paid career opportunities.
You will be paid £2.70 per hour from the day you start.
